{a palm tree, stuffed monkey, and assorted funny hats}

I'm so excited to play around with these papers again....There is something about these Love, Elsie papers that make me feel happy. So, I couldn't resist adding some Love, Elsie paper stacks to my shop.

Gosh, you just don't know! There are so many other fun things I want to add that I make, but I need to find some time. I've been super busy lately!!!

I am just going to try to slowly add a few things in here and there!

Yesterday was a long day, but I have to say very fun for a garage sale. My parents live in a subdivison that has this huge...I mean HUGE garage sale every year. All the subdivison and surrounding subdivisions that connect to it join in and there are cars everywhere! It was packed! There were people driving around from house to house with golf carts - one group had a golf cart with the most random assortment of stuff including:
*a palm tree, which was really big.
*a stuffed monkey.
*an assortment of funny hats.
And there is no telling what was in the other bags of stuff they had! They were hilarious and having so much fun!

Oh, and there were even vendors selling funnel cakes and corn dogs! I couldn't believe it! I really wanted a funnel cake, but couldn't make myself drive through the craziness to go to the other side of the subdivision to get one!
We did really great and sold almost everything we had. It was the most money we have ever made at a garage sale EVER. I can't wait to clean out my house again and start storing everything for next year...we are going to make even more money, I just know it! It was just too easy breezy!!

I forogt to post this earlier but had to add it in somewhere! My lovely friend, Shelley gave me these for my birthday (on the 10th) and I loved them!!! These are one of my favorite flowers! I guess she knows me pretty well, or just did a really impresive job guessing! I just love the orange and think they are so happy and bright! I wish they would have stayed pretty like this forever, but at least I took a picture so I can still look at them!
It is storming outside today and I am kinda bummed - we were supposed to grill some steaks and now I am not so sure. I also wanted to go to do a little fabric shopping!!!

Maybe the rain will go away soon...

***Winner of the giveway on my other post will be announced Monday***

{be inspired wednesday No. 002}

I've been busy tonight...packing up etsy orders!!!
And making some new fun goodies and "thank you" packages for my shop.
I just looked and saw that my "favorites list" with all my favorite blogs is getting so incredibly long.....and guess what.....
 I love it.

I am in love with all these fabulous bloggers I have on my list!
So.in.love.
There are even more I need to add to it but keep forgetting!
I admit it... I wake up each morning, get out my iphone and check my blog list to see what is new! It is so exciting to me.

Right now I am loving photography blogs. The splashes of vibrant colors and cute.cute.cute little kiddos! I can't get enough of the yummy fabrics and amazing boutique clothing. I love photos of kids jumping on big vintage couches in fields...or wearing some very  FUNKY rainboots and splashing in puddles.
It all just gives me amazing inspiration and a happy high. The best kind of high is one of inspiration....
So...here are {just a few} photography blogs that I am loving on right now....
Mika Beth Edwards...oh how I love the textures and rich colors. She has incredible talent and is simply gorgeous.

Bethany...her photos are soft and it reminds me of soft, sweet cotton candy or perfectly warm summer sunshine. Her style is unlike any other I have seen and it is nice to see something different and wonderful.

I can't leave out my friend, Lacey...I went to high school with her. It amazes me that she created her business out of thin air and she has so much creativity and spunk! I love her photos so much I wish she could follow me around with a camera all day and just click away!

I just love these photographers and their blogs I am sure there are many more out there I will stumble upon soon...do you have a favorite?

{huh?}

Ok. Talking to my husband tonight, was as if I was speaking another language. These words were included in my conversation and I'm still not quite sure which ones he was not following...
Argyle.
Turquoise.
Olive.
Leggings.
Velvety.
Boutique.
I may have also added a "super cute" in there...but I am sure he got that part.
But obviously, I speak a foreign language. One that crafty. creative. amazingly fabulous people understand...but my cute. adorable. dirtbiking husband does not.

{progress and a giveaway}

So here it is....the first photo of my {in progress} floors.
I really am in love with my choice of tile. It reminds me of a very nice coffeehouse for some reason. I think all the browns and caramels are so beautiful!!!
We still - ahhem, sorry - my wonderful husband and his friend Kyle still have alot of work to do and grouting has to be done, but I just couldn't wait to share!
This was before...ugh....carpet in the dining room.
Who seriously likes carpet in a dining room?
The kitchen was linoleum and I am just super duper happy to upgrade to porcelin tile!
Up next will be painting...we have some great work ahead of us for that and it will really upgrade the rooms alot. And then....wood floors in the living room! Can you tell that I love home projects? Dean does do most (or all) off the work at times, although I did help prep for the work with the tile, I had absoultly no part in doing it so he gets ALL the credit!
I can't wait to show off the finished result!!!
Now to the fun part of my post....
Some fun & funky fabric squares are going to be given away to one lucky reader...

{creepy}

These creep me out so much that I just had to share.

They ARE creepy....right?
or is it just me who thinks so?
Well, I found them in my parents garage today.
Don't ask why, but I thought that someone on etsy may want them - they are brand new.
Still, I think the groom keeps checking me out across the room.
His eyes follow me.

{wow.}

Thank you to everyone who wished me a very happy birthday today.

It was fabulous.

I got over my anxiety and woke up with excitement this morning.

I felt so loved - an INCREDIBLE amount of friends wished me a happy birthday on my facebook today - it was overwhelming and amazing and I felt so much love! I still am in awe and can't believe it!

Thank you.
:)
My amazing husband also left me little notes and text messages throughout today. He is the BEST and so sweet, even though he won't seem to admit it.

We went to Macaroni Grill tonight for a little something different.
This was my birthday cake of choice....

I love it.

Yummy.

Well. I have a date with Project Runway and then bedtime. I have a very busy day tomorrow!

Night night!

{i was...}

...born today.
Ask my momma.
Yep. It's officially my birthday - you can check my liscense, it's true.

{be inspired wednesday - No. 001}

The very first of many more...
be inspired wednesday
No. 001

She's my younger sister.
She works here.
She's fashionable.
I'm not, ....but I try.
She inspires me for a number of reasons. One is because she sees beauty in things that I don't. She opens my eyes to new styles and concepts. Ones that I may not dare to try, and ones that I just can't resist. I love her sense of style. It's unique and beautiful.

She wears deep blues and greys. She pulls off plaid. She wears vintage. She wears new. She mixes pearls with almost anything. She can totally pull off skinny jeans and cute heels.
I'm a comfy girl with rocketdogs on my feet and sorry, no skinny jeans for me - they make me look like a crazy chicken legged freak. :/
Sometimes our styles colide, for instance....Anthropolgie has a "mad for plaid" line right now that I think she would love. {She loves plaid.} And J.Crew has a few things that I adore that I know she would also love. If only we had tons of cash to spend we would both go crazy and then share!!!

Once I tried on a pair of cute fitted white jeans...then she tried them on and I wouldn't dare buy them cause well, she looked amazing in them and me, just so-so.

We are sisters.
We have a little friendly competiton going on with our fashion. We try to top each other in little ways. We go change if the other one looks "cuter". Sometimes I just let her be cuter than me. She's just to cute to top!

She constantly inspires me. She doesn't always follow the trends. She embraces her own style and looks FABULOUS doing it.

So, my first "be inspired wednesday" is about her. Who else would be first?

Please go give her blog some love today!
Just say hello. Give her a high-five. Leave her a link of your favorite fashion site.
Follow her, or suggest a topic for her to blog about.
I'm pretty sure it will make her day.

:)
